I love the maple pecan bars. I can’t find them anywhere! Please let me know where I can get them! thanks, KK

The box of 20 bars (1/2 maple pecan and 1/2 pumpkin spice) are no longer available at Costco. Will they be selling them again soon?

These bars are delicious, and

These bars are delicious, and it’s tempting to eat more than a taste even with celiac disease, but without knowing they’re gluten-free, I of course can’t. However, since gluten-sensitive people are claiming to not react, the oats in the bars may actually be gluten free. Is there any way that Nature’s Path could test the product (this has been done with many other foods)? I guarantee that sales will jump through the roof - for one, I’ll buy out my local Costco!

Hi there and thanks for

Hi there and thanks for getting in touch with us. The problem is that there could be a risk of cross-contamination with wheat, rye or barley in the fields or during the milling process. Because of this risk, we can’t guarantee these bars are gluten-free. We err on the side of caution and don’t recommend this for those with celiac disease. It’s best to just check with your medical practitioner who can best advise you. At this time, there aren’t enough gluten-free organic oats available to meet our production demands. I’ll be sure to pass along your desire for gluten-free oats & granola bars to our Research and Development Team who will be on the lookout for this in the future. Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

THANK YOU! I have a gluten

THANK YOU! I have a gluten allergy and am always disappointed over the taste/texture of GF bars. I’m really into the texture of foods and find that when I do like a flavor, the bar is usually dry and crispy…I prefer chewy and gooey :O) That said, I stumbled upon these at Costco. I know they aren’t labeled as gluten free however, I’ve found that some of your products made from oats don’t bother me. I’m assuming it’s because wheat/barley/rye type grains might not run across the equipment often? Regardless, I figured I’d give these a try and they are awesome! I usually gravitate towards berry/fruit flavored bars but with these, it doesn’t even matter. They are delish! Soooo glad you sell them at Costco or I couldn’t justify buying them. You are the best!

Thanks for taking the time to

Thanks for taking the time to share your comments with us Karen. I’m so glad to hear you love these bars as much as me! These bars aren’t gluten free because they contain oats. Oats are grown close to other grains which means there could be some cross contamination of a gluten containing grain or even during the milling process. For some other gluten free products, please click http://www.naturespath.com/eat-well/gluten-free-celiac-diet. I highly suggest you try our Crunch Maple Sunrise if you love the flavor of this granola bar. Take care Karen, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Tried the maple bars and

Tried the maple bars and loved them so much I went and bought more. Then again I bought about 4 more boxes. Unfortunately, this last box that I opened had an off flavor. Sort of rancid. The code on top was Best by 2011June15 10 45 29612 Have you had any problems with these in this regard? I have 3 other boxes that I’m wondering whether or not I should return to the store, if they taste rancid, I don’t want them. Otherwise, I really loved them.

Thank you for getting in

Thank you for getting in touch, Jill. We are glad to hear you like our Mmmaple Pecan bars, and deeply regret that the last purchase you made did not meet your expectations. This bar does contain flax seeds which is the richest vegetable source of omega 3, essential fatty acids our bodies need to regulate the activities of our cells. Unfortunately, flax has the tendency to emit volatile odors that are associated with chemical smells (sometimes described as fishy, chemical-like, petroleum-like, etc). The odors indicate the fats in the flax have oxidized. Please contact Nicolette in Consumer Services at consumerservices@naturespath.com and she will be sure to look into this further.
