Hi, I love your cereal, but it makes me nervous buying anything made in a nut facility due to allergies in my household. Do you think you’ll ever open a facility for just your peanut items?

Hi Angie and thanks for reaching out to us. North American Government Regulators have advised us that because we use allergens such as nuts in some of our facilities, we’re strongly recommended to print a disclaimer underneath the ingredients listing. Still, we have an extensive planning and cleaning schedule -which includes protein testing- for all our production facilities in order to prevent any cross contamination of our products with non-declared ingredients. After handling any product that contains allergens, we do a full allergen clean-up on the production lines. We also use various cleaning methods such as rinsing, hot scrubber machines, vacuums and organic compliant cleaning solution followed by protein tests on the equipment and cleaning is supervised and checked off by Quality Assurance. All of our products that do not contain peanuts, tree nuts, dairy or soy – as listed on the ingredient label are theoretically peanuts, tree nuts, dairy and soy free. However because of the remote chance of contamination from machinery or peanuts, nuts & soy or dairy in the plant we can not imply that there is no possibility of minute amounts of these allergens in our products. Understandably, our main concern is the health risk to any of our customers who may have a life-threatening allergy. We feel that consumers must make the final choice in consultation with their healthcare provider about eating our products. At this time we don’t have a peanut-free plant for all products but the following items are produced in a peanut-free facility: our Puffed Bagged cereals such as Puffed Rice, Puffed Corn, Puffed Millet, Puffed Kamut, as well as toaster pastries, frozen waffles, hot oatmeal and our pancake mixes. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team.

Just wanted to say I have tried many of your cereals and granolas now, and this one is by far my favourite, which is a hard thing to say considering how good tasting (and good for you) the rest are. Unfortunately, as a student my budget is a bit low but I would love to keep eating your cereals, so I was wondering if there are any coupons available for your products. Thanks for taking the time to read this as I have seen a response to almost every other comment, it is appreciated!

Hi Kevin and thanks for reaching out to us. The best way to go about obtaining coupons is to look for them on our packaging. You may also be able to find coupons in flyers from your local grocer and health food store or check with them directly for sales and discounts. Seeing as you are a student, you also may be interested in becoming a fan of ours on our Facebook page or following us on Twitter as we sometimes have product giveaways. You can also subscribe to bloggers that support Nature’s Path, as they often have product giveaways too. Hope that helps! Happy munching, Justine, Nature’s Path Team.

Hi! I’ve been eating your cereal for a year now and love it. However, I recently had to switch from the Flax Plus cereals to those not containing Flax. Is there any way to get the full nutritional information including the amount of all minerals and vitamins in 1 serving for Acai Apple cereal? I would really appreciate it!

Hey! I wanted to get this! It looks really AMAZING and by the comments it seems AMAZING! But, i do have a problem with the fat and the sugar. Very high in sugar. Is this processed sugar or all natural? Also the fat, will I get fat if I eat this? I want healthy food!!!!!!
Thanks so much for getting in

Thanks so much for getting in touch with us Debbie! Sugars, in moderation, are a part of a healthy diet. We also use organic sugars such as pear juice, grape juice, pomegranate, and like this product, raw evaporated cane juice. If you’re looking for a granola with a lower sugar content, I suggest our Kirkland Signature by Nature’s Path Organic Ancient Grains Granola with Almonds. And Debbie, everything in moderation - don’t consume the whole box in one sitting. I’m sure a visit to your medial practitioner or a nutritionist would give you some great pointers. Take care, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

SOY OIL, and other derivatives of SOY such as Lecithin can cause harmful allergic reactions for many users…wonder why your scape itches in the afternoon or getting painful little bumps on your scalp. Its not your shampoo… its SOY OIL.

Hello Acai Lover and thanks for sharing your comments! We understand that some of our consumers have allergies to soy, which is why we include “Contains soy” in our allergens portion of the ingredients panel. We recommend individuals go to their medical practitioner if they think they have an allergy. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team
First of all, the Acai Apple

First of all, the Acai Apple cereal is my absolute favorite, and only one store in my city carries it any more. I make a special trip because I love it so much.
HOWEVER…I just read that Capn Crunch is being pulled from the market because it has 12 grams of sugar per serving (http://lifeinc.today.com/_news/2011/03/09/6228655-capn-crunch-sails-into…). The Acai Apple cereal has 13 grams… I’m trying to cut down on my sugar intake. Would love to know your thoughts about all this. Thank you

Hi Dianna and thanks for reaching out to us. Capn Crunch contains 12 g sugar per 27 g serving, whereas this granola contains 13 g sugar per 55 g serving. This granola has half the sugar if you’re looking at the serving sizes! Take care Dianna, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team
